You still don’t understand the concept of “climate change” and “global warming” huh.

Payne’s cartoon is NOT a surprise at all! It only confirms his willful stupidity!

So Henry Payne proves he either flunked out of science classes or has been brain washed to not believe science and experts in the field.I did very well in science classes and when I had the expertise could follow the experts in their fields well enough to believe them over the guess work groups.

First you follow the facts and then you make working hypothesis and then determine if you are on the right track with your hypothesis. If you find you are you publish and then other experts determine if you are on the right track and whether you followed the logic properly. If they agree they will give their conclusions and suggestions for further research. It is an ongoing process.

The facts are indeed showing this cold snap is created by climate change. And much of this is man made, the natural rhythms of earth weather do not usually happen so dramatically. And the change in green house gaseous is very indicative of the changes that we are experiencing.

The biggest deniers are the fossil fuel industry, coal, oil, natural gas. They are funding the denials.

Sigh…

Climate change deniers cannot understand the difference between global effects and local weather… and that what is happening in their own back yard is not simultaneously happening all over the world at the same time…

One acorn does not a summer make. One horrible cold snap does not spell the end of global warming. What moronic tripe.

Thar is GLOBAL warming, as in "*the entire Globe*, not just a few places here and there. The AVERAGE temperature of the entire globe is rising. You can have a high fever and still have parts of your body which are below normal temperature if your circulation is poor. The world’s circulation is the “thermo-haline conveyor” system, which is a system of salt water ocean currents which circle the globe and move heat energy from one place to another. This is why places on the west coast of Europe are warmer than places at the same latitude on the east coast of North America. Part of the thermo-haline system was mapped in the mid to late 1700s by Ben Franklin, then assistant postmaster for the Colonies, when asked by the English postmaster to find out why it took ships three weeks longer to go from England to the colonies than it did to return. Using logs from ship captains, he calculated a current which flowed from the southern coast of the colonies to Iceland and Scandinavia, which is now called “the Gulf Stream”. Franklin’s maps, now stored in museums in France are still shown to be amazingly accurate for the part they show. Part of the problem with GLOBAL warming is that glaciers, frozen fresh water, are melting and the fresh water released flowing into the ocean and diluting the saltwater there, interrupting parts of the thermo-haline system. This means that heat energy is not circulating properly and weather patterns are bein disrupted. Of course, this is Science, which Payne and other pseudo-conservatives abhor.

Shouldn’t he be holding up a snowball?

If Henry knew anything he might know that record cold proves “global warming” is real. The “greenhouse gases” that trap heat in the atmosphere during the summer prevent heat from entering the atmosphere during the winter.

It’s like dropping a stone into a pond. When the stone enters directly it enters the water and sinks to the bottom like the sun’s rays do for Earth in the summer. But when thrown at an acute angle, the stone skips to the other side of the pond and may never enter into the water. Same thing happens to heat rays hitting the atmosphere at a sharp angle in winter.

It’s not hard to understand, Henry.

Texans only have themselves to blame. 80% of their power comes from fossil fuels, they are not tied into the national grid. They are blaming solar and wind power for the deficiencies, they are blaming a program that they never actually built.

Only painful ignorance or willful deceit would allow Payne to present such a ridiculous cartoon.

Payne, you should sign up for one of my classes. I can explain how climate change works for you. It’s okay to admit you do not understand.

In fact GLOBAL warming (which is real as measured/averaged GLOBALLY) causes an increase in the number of polar vortex events. As anyone who is able to type “cause of polar vortex” into their search engine can learn.

Stupid Henry Payne doesn’t understand climate change, but that’s no surprise.

When I was a kid, my Dad defrosted the freezer and gave me the ice to play with outside. Did that mean it was winter in July? Only if you’re Payne or Inhofe.

Yes, the weather in your village this week totally refutes/proves the whole concept of global climate change, and the weather in your village next week will totally prove/refute it. Keep us posted….

Stupid people don’t understand the difference between climate and a weather event.

Science sure gets in the way of nut job cartoon doesn’t it.

Payne seems to be like most science deniers. They either can’t understand, or simply don’t pay attention, to what the science tells them.

PAYNE, the science has been telling us for years that there are going to be broader swings in temperature. Higher highs and lower lows. Are you listening?

When its warmer in Boston than Dallas and warmer in Anchorage than Abilene. Please explain, Mr. Payne.
