A little behind the times. That happens w/ Clay Jones sometimes because he’s so darn prolific that stuff ends up in the queue for a few days. Accurate enough though, from a few days ago.

The Itchy and Scratchy Show was at least amusing in its satire of cartoon violence. The Mad King’s Bumbling Court Jester Show was just farcical in its arrogant incompetence. No self respecting lawyers would take on such a job.. even the type of lawyers who would sink so low as to defend the indefensibly insane insurrection instigator found that the only strategy he would accept was lying directly to the Senate.. leaving them open to disbarment and prosecution themselves.

So, we got to watch the two lawyers who simply lied to Trump in order to get national coverage presenting an impeachment defense to a ‘jury’ that was predetermined to give them the ‘win’ no matter how pathetic their performance.. What an opportunity!

Watching them harangue the Senate and feign indignation at the questions they were asked and demand to depose hundreds of witnesses in their “pheeelllydeeellpia” offices, in contrast to the utter professionalism of the impeachment managers as they implored the senators not to allow the events of this January to become the new standard for (republican) presidential power transfer was just sickening.

The very same republicans in the case of Idaho’s Mike Crapo, Iowa’s Chuck Grassley, Oklahoma’s James Inhofe, and, of course, the former majority leader Mitch McConnell voted for conviction of Clinton for a petty perjury pertaining to a presidential peccadillo and then voted for acquittal of the malignant narcissistic monster whose lies about the core of the democratic process they were charged with overseeing brought the wrath of his moronic minions into the very chamber where they sat!

In the end, McConnell’s vote for acquittal and his subsequent speech to the cameras as the Senate emptied summed it all up perfectly: there is no level of hypocrisy they are unwilling to sink to so long as they can manipulate their deplorable morons to hold onto power. If not, then they will gladly burn it all down.

Anyone who believes that a judicial decision by judge or jury is just a matter of applying the written law needs to review the senate trial videos again. You should be dissuaded of that notion when you follow Trump’s Team of Slip’NFall lawyers who evaded the questions, blurred the issue and used vocals and vocabulary theatrics to make it appear they were giving a defense.

Yes, it helps greatly when the jury is in your pocket already. That’s why there is a side business of profiling people for jury selection. Or electing them to take an oath and be impartial /S.

And what’s REALLY scary is that both Itchy AND Scratchy are smarter then trump or ANY of his “lawyers”.

I tire of loyal Democrats/Republicans in the federal government and would like to see instead, apolitical, altruistic, Americans in all branches working together … doing what is best for ALL citizens NOT just a few.

“In refusing to convict Donald Trump for his crimes against democracy, the Republican Party has announced that Republican presidents are above the law and can act with impunity, as kings or dictators do — and that this is now true for Republican officials on the federal, local and state level as well. In total, the Republican Party has created a precedent that right-wing political violence and terrorism, including coups and other attempts to overthrow legal elections, are now acceptable in the United States — as long as they are perpetrated by Republicans and their allies against Democrats and others deemed to be ‘un-American.’” Chauncey DeVega.

And the lying Republican senators who were part of the conspiracy to overthrow American democracy went along with the fake evidence of their lying lawyer.

Ironically, “The Simpsons” predicted Lisa Simpson would follow Trump as POTUS – after Trump had bankrupted America…

Actually, it was all Nancy’s fault. No, wait, Hillary’s. Yeah, that’s it, Hillary was disguised as the guy with the horns and the buffalo suit, and that “guy” lounging in Nancy’s office with his feet on the desk? That was Nancy herself in deep disguise! Everybody knows that.

Yes, this cartoon was quickly outdated. It was drawn Saturday morning and only had a shelf life of about two hours as the Senate decided against allowing witnesses and they rendered a verdict, thus destroying a cartoon I was rather quite fond of. Plus, I got that theme song stuck in my head all day for nothing.

Republican Senator Don Johnson was very upset that the right wing insurrectionists who swarmed the Capitol looked goofy and didn’t have enough fire arms. Incompetent Republicans never do anything right.
