McCarthy snapped at Trump when he refused to help during riot, report says: ‘Who the f*** do you think you’re talking to?’ (independent.co.uk) -

“McCarthy insisted that the rioters were Trump’s supporters and begged Trump to call them off.”

…“Well, Kevin, I guess these people are more upset about the election than you are”

McCarthy pleaded with Trump to call off his mob. Trump not only incited the insurrection, Trump refused to call off the terrorists that attacked the Capitol and killed people.

Trump knowingly organized, encouraged, incited, and supported violent insurrection.

And yet McCarthy knowing this, still protects him. Call for witnesses. Expose McCarthy, Cruz, Hawley, Graham and the sedition caucus and get them expelled. Now is the time to cut out this cancer… repugs are cultist scum, top to bottom.

Almost every congress person and senator is so far removed from the world outside of their cloistered little bubble that there is precious little hope that they will act any differently as what we are seeing from them now.

Trump’s attorney has been arguing that there haven’t been any witnesses called so they just voted. Only 5 GOP Senators voted to hear witnesses. So which is it. Do they really want witnesses or are they just stalling and grandstanding.

—) An interesting rumor thatijustmadeup is that Donald Trump once had a childlike fascination with a toy of the early 1960s — The Ideal Toy Company’s “Mr. Machine.” He hoped one day to buy a whole bunch of those mechanical wind-up men to help him to conquer and rule the world.

Well, the mob he wound up on January 6th wasn’t big enough to rule the world — but it almost did rule and ruin the Capitol building. The spoiled child inside Trump was reportedly delighted at the spectacle but disappointed that his boy-toys did not finish the job. (— (—

There has been too much focus on Trump’s words on January 6th. He started the incitement to violence back in November.

See now that Moscow Mitch is signaling the GOP enablers not to convict Trump . . . so what else is ‘breaking news" ? Can’t imagine why Mitch would say on one day that Trump ‘shared’ some of what happened on January 6th, but not guilty enough to convict him. Why would a “jury” want witnesses? Sounds unreasonable to ask for . . . . by those RepubliCons who are anxious to ‘move on’ with ‘unity’ and send out Valentine’s Day Cards across the aisle.

Their all scared that Trump will send his terrorist mob to their homes. Look at Gorky Park Graham. He was out with Trump for about 10 minutes until he was confronted at a airport by Trump goons. He went crawling back like the cowardly, two faced weasel his is.

The Senate voted unexpectedly on Saturday to permit the lawyers in Donald Trump’s impeachment trial to call witnesses, following a surprise request by the Democrats prosecuting the case to seek the testimony of a key House Republican who has publicly described evidence that the former president refused to pull back the violent mob on Jan. 6.The 55-45 vote came after the House prosecutors said they would seek the testimony of Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-Wash.) about her knowledge of a call between the former president and House Minority leader Kevin McCarthy as violence escalated at the Capitol. Herrera Beutler, who voted to impeach Trump in the House, has indicated that McCarthy related to her the details of the phone call in which Trump denied McCarthy’s pleas to forcefully call off the rioters.

Saturday’s decision prolongs the Senate’s impeachment trial of Trump for inciting the insurrection that day. Senators were expecting to conclude the trial later Saturday, and they were surprised that the House managers asked for witness testimony. Five Republicans joined all Democrats in the vote to proceed with motions to call witnesses.

Republicans knew Big Lie Trump lost to Biden yet they permitted him to stir up his rabble. Dictator loving republicans are complicit in murder and destruction.

Let me see if I’ve got this right: Grandpa Munster Cruz has his panties in a bunch over the possibility the house managers might call Trump before the Senate because a defendant can’t be compelled to testify against himself but it’s perfectly fine for Cruz, Graham, and Lee, i.e., the jurors to confer with defense counsel. Am I missing something here?

EXCLUSIVE: Embattled QAnon congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene ‘openly cheated’ on her husband of 25 years with a polyamorous tantric sex guru and then moved on to another affair with the manager at her gym

Marjorie Taylor Greene had affairs with tantric sex guru Craig Ivey and fitness gym manager Justin Tway, DailyMail.com has learned

The embattled Georgia congresswoman, 46, has been married to husband Perry Greene since 1995 and shares three kids with him

Neither man denied the affairs when approached by DailyMail.com, but both refused to comment on their past relationships with Taylor Greene

‘I have no interest in talking about anything to do with that woman. Everything with her comes to no good,’ Tway, 42, said

Taylor Greene had met her two lovers while working at a gym in Alpharetta, Georgia in 2012

Insiders say she was so brazen about her affairs they believed her marriage was on the rocks, but it appears the couple has put her infidelity behind them Congress voted last week to remove Taylor Greene from her committee assignments due to her outrageous beliefs and controversial social media posts

Perhaps a bit off-topic, but why is DeJoy still the Postmaster General? He got the job because he was a trump Mega-Donor who agreed to dismantle and s-l-o-w d-o-w-n post office operations in preparation for mail-in voting coming, as he did, from leadership positions (investments?) in the postal service’s competitors – only later to be forced to reverse some of his tinkerings, such as:

    - Removal of sorting machines.

    - Removal of Blue Post Boxes in certain demographical areas .

    - Dismantling the post office infrastructure by removing postal veterans from their positions.

All of his changes directly jeopardized the election and disproportionately threatened to disenfranchise voters in communities of color.

And the removal of overtime threatened the post office’s ability to deliver the mail in a timely manner – just to make it tougher – or impossible – to enact mail-in voting.

Don’t forget that Congress had to provide $25 billion in extra support of the Postal Service as the USPS Board of Governors recommended, (who were 100 percent appointed by trump).

“The Postal Service is Election Central during the pandemic, and Democrats will not allow the President to force Americans to choose between their health and their vote.” – Nancy Pelosi

That he still has an upwards of $291,000 job is offensive. He needs to go – and never come back.

    I ask again,

Why is he still in place?

^Fflashbang is right on. We heard from a cousin in Switzerland about the vote before we even saw it on the WashPost web site. She extended her sympathies…

I feel the same sadness I would have if I woke up in August and discovered it wasn’t Christmas morning. I really deep down hoped that the Republicans would look at the overwhelming evidence, realize the damage the MAGAts and Trump have done to our country and dig deep in their souls and declare that they were Americans first and Republicans second. I knew it was unrealistic, but I hoped.
