The republicans start with the premise that nothing a republican says is a lie. Then they see how they have to distort what actually happens to support that. Their other basic premise is that nothing a Democrat says is true.

    Truth matters.

    Facts matter.

    Reality matters.

If a political party doesn’t realize this, they will cease to…

    matter.

One almost wishes that the security personnel had not been so heroically diligent in shepherding congresspeople away from the domestic terrorists who were shouting for their blood. If those Republicans who are now so vehemently defending Trump had been in more obvious physical danger from his rabid minions, they might not be so ready to find excuses for his behavior. Not that I wish for any of them to have been actually assaulted (unlike Brian Sicknick, who was beaten to death while defending them), I wish they had been scared into doing the right thing!

But you know, white juries have been ignoring evidence and letting white rioters and murderers off the hook for centuries. They’re just following tradition.

Trumps defense will be deflection, more filthy lies, because they don’t have anything else! It’s party over country, not we the people! Pathetic that this is allowed to go forward, knowing the truth and he’ll not be convicted….he will be in the news every day, per his usual….the “jurors” are his ass kissers and boot lickers….nothing has changed! Since when do “jurors” meet with the lawyers? Too bad people who were voted in by we the people to work for US, has turned out they work for their own agendas…..and keep get re-elected! Who’s the dummies here?

Odd how the outrageous big lies are embraced so easily and the half-truths are torn to pieces.

Almost as big a lie as the last few words of the Pledge of Allegiance; “Justice for all.” For the GOP, it’s “Justice for some, some are immune.”

Let’s face it, “justice” has vacated the District. Let us look to New York, Georgia, and Scotland.

Yes, I too blame our political, economic, & health problems on the so-called GOP Leadershit’s big lie, but I think we’ve all overlooked those active & passive insurrectionists who are so dim-witted, so ignorant, so gullible &, let’s face it, hyper-hypocritical—those whose activities are arguably treasonous.

I especially indict those Evangelical pseudo-Christians, i.e., Cafeteria Christians, who pick & choose which New Testament lessons & admonitions to cite & to follow—ones that don’t interfere with their lifestyle.

They treat many of their New Testament lessons more like guidelines rather than the Spoken Word of their God. Their forebears came to this country decades, even centuries ago, fleeing religious persecution, but, now that their descentants have some political clout, they relentlessly try to impose their anti-abortion religious beliefs, their anti-birth control beliefs, their anti-LGBTQ religious beliefs, their curated religious beliefs on everyone else in defiance of both the Establishment & the Free Expression Clauses of the First Amendment.

Evangelical pseudo-Christians’ absurd opposition to universal health care despite the parable lesson of the Good Samaritan is just one of many examples of Evangelical pseudo-Christians’ hyper-hypocrisy.

The history of Evangelical pseudo-Christians’ militant & pigheaded political activities is rife with numerous examples of their collective hyper-hypocrisy.

Time after time after time, aggressive Evangelical pseudo-Christians abandon the true meaning of Christianity & enforce their grotesque, dim-witted, ignorant, perverse personal take on Christianity on the lives of everyone in the nation, à la the Spanish Inquisition, the effects of which most of their forbears fled to establish religious freedom for themselves & their posterity. The Evangelical pseudo-Christians betray not only their nation, not only democracy, not only our republic, not only Christianity, but also their ancestors.

    Shame on them!

The Republicans have the opportunity to protect those that protected them on January 6th, by simply voting to find Trump guilty for his part in the attack on the Capital.

By ignoring that, the Republicans are just as guilty of the attack on the Capital as the violent idiots that were roaming the halls looking for politicians to execute, beating up Capital police, even murdering one. The Republicans that refuse to bring justice to Trump become complicate to his crime.

In a criminal complaint, an FBI agent described how the group “moved closely to each other” inside the Capitol on January 6 and wore pieces of fluorescent orange tape affixed to their clothing or gear.

Some are accused of leading crowds of rioters as they pushed through multiple police lines and made their way through the Capitol grounds. They all wore tactical-style gear, including helmets and gloves. One had a wooden club or ax handle that was initially disguised as a flag.

Authorities arrested the men and women in an early morning sweep Thursday. William Chrestman, Louis Enrique Colon and Christopher Kuehne were taken into custody near Kansas City, Missouri, and Cory and Felicia Konold, brother and sister, were arrested in Arizona, according to the Justice Department.KSHB

According to court documents, the group, who identified themselves by wearing orange tape marks on their clothing, worked together to storm the Capitol.

Federal investigators used social media and cell phone tracking to place the subjects at or near the Capitol on Jan. 6.

I cannot help but think every day about Lt Col Vindman, his brother, and his dad. The self-serving cowardice and outright rudeness of a number Senators has been disillusioning to watch (again). Across the country Red States GOPSOBs are proposing and passing legislation to make it harder to vote with the goal of disenfranchising as many as possible. In my own "great state of ‘FloriDuh’ ", voters approve of Senators Scott and Rubio, and Governor DeSantis. We are about to move. Part of me thinks it best to stay, to help Florida go more purple then blue…part of me wants to leave behind a state where not a single “representative” in State Legislature or the US Congress House or Senate, represents anything we stand for. It is wearing us down.
