I’m OK with calling him insane and using that as a reason to keep him from ever running again. Though he also deserves to be found guilty of inciting a riot at the very least.

Having been raised to never accept defeat — in spite of reality — has made him the deranged cult leader he is today.

—) Apparently cropped out of the drawing is the hat Trump has on — the famous sideways-worn bicorne of Napoleon Bonaparte. (Has DJT finally met his Waterloo?)

I believe that the domestic terrorists who invaded the capital would tell you that they haven’t failed until they stop trying, and I’m pretty sure they haven’t stopped trying. We will be dealing with them for decades. Suing the media outlets that propagate the lies that fuel their hatred is the most effective way of dealing with them. They have the right to freedom of speech. That can not be taken from them and still call this America. But, if enough of the people they malign sue every time it happens, which would be at least a couple of times a week, and make a media circus of the trial that proves them to be liars, the 1%ers backing them will decide it’s not a productive way to spend their money. This will not help the ones who have been fed 50 years of propaganda radio. As long as they live, it will be in their alternate reality, but it would help prevent the creation of newer ones.

Trump is obviously criminally insane and the republicans support him as their leader.

The GQP is a sick group who don’t believe in reason or science, they just want to control the country in their own fascist way.

The USA is for everyone, not just the white nationalist republican minority.

I’ve always thought that the “insanity defense” was itself insane.

If a dog (or any other nonhuman animal) is “mad”, it is not treated more gently; it is killed. And not for “revenge”, but to protect the rest of us.

Why should it be different — in fact, the opposite — with humans?

Trump’s insanity is not a “defense”; it’s an offense, though he and I would apply different definitions to that word.
