Now that alternate universe has turned into a sick cult, who won’t even wear a piece of cloth over their faces to stop thousands of fellow Americans dying every day.

You have a little rectangle of space on right wing websites (and maybe even some newspapers) to talk to these Americans. You could use that space to tell them the truth and start deprogramming them from the poison they are being fed on FOXnews, OANN, and Newsmax. Instead you’re telling them “no it’s actually those on the left who need to compromise with us. How dare they try to hold the president accountable for his actions!”

It’s a matter of trust. Until there is some kind of repentance for enabling Trump, I just don’t see it happening. Without it, how can we trust the Republican party genuinely wants unite? We can’t? And since most Republicans I know don’t think they did anything wrong by supporting Trump, I don’t think unity will happen anytime soon.

The party that is about to take power of 2 branches is talking about “commissions” to identify and root out Trump supporters and other thought criminals. Dems in the House are claiming that the NG troops in DC need to be vetted because they are mostly white and mostly “conservative”.

Elected GOP Members and Senators are being branded as traitors for using the LEGAL mechanisms put in place by the founders to question and object to election results. Democrats used the same LEGAL mechanisms to object to the election results in 2000, 2004 and 2016.

Hundreds of thousands of people across the nation have participated in violent actions against police, local government and federal offices. Arson, vandalism, assault. Police and civilians hospitalized and even killed. Without a single person charged with insurrection or sedition. State and federal facilities were under siege for MONTHS in Portland. Radicals took possession of an area in Seattle and held it hostage for months.

BUT THAT WAS DIFFERENT!

No, it wasn’t. It was insurrection. By the very definition used by Democrats to describe the mostly peaceful demonstration inside the Capitol building, large groups of radical leftist terrorists have engaged in insurrection for FOUR YEARS.

Unity? Reconciliation? Is that before or after the show trials?

Remember, the Democrat definition of “compromise” is “you do what I tell you to do and then shut up”.

Nice cartoon, Bob. For this to happen, one of the things people are going to need to do, is stop stereotyping and realizing that there are good people in those groups, too. Not every Republican is a crazy, far right-wing racist, nor is every Democrat a crazy, far left-wing Communist sympathizer who hates all cops. Anger and hatred for anyone who doesn’t think the way one does, are what are tearing this country apart. If the people of Northern and Southern Ireland could finally put an end to “The Troubles,” then we can, too. However, it has to start with people accepting differences of opinion, and start looking for a way to compromise.
