Every guy who is considerate about providing and saving for the future knows that the great discounts are available on the 15th. Frugality and planning is also why you buy stuff when you walk through the hardware section of the store on any day.
We had no power, and lots of ice, this year on Valentine’s Day. So we’ve been carrying out our plans this weekend now that power is back and roads are passable.
Political characters who are trying to be apolitical. The cartoonist just can’t seem to make up his mind about where he is going with both Carmen and Winslow. Is Carmen a Democrat or a never Trumpublican. What is Winslow, one day a Democrat the next an anti-Trump republican. All in all, going nowhere. Meanwhile rather than get after Trump, he just made him a skunk and yet, he continued to paint Mrs Clinton over the last 4 years as hunny-bunny, a “massive criminal”-only called as such by Trump and his cult followers.
So Mr Stantis, what are you doing, just calling this strip in, or have you handed it off to a ghost cartoonist without bothering to have the person brought up to date on where the main characters stand politically.
I love this cartoon, because my husband does this exact same thing. He waits until the candy is 70% off, and then buys it. That doesn’t upset me at all, because I like saving money, and the candy tastes just as good.

My wife and I never celebrate Valentine’s Day on 14-Feb. Our two days are 02-Feb and 16-Feb.
Messed up considerably this year, of course.

Cost effective affection. What’s wrong with that?

Only thinking about what’s best for you, Sweetie.

Makes sense to me. Why would the date make it a better sentiment?
