Trump lost the popular vote in 2016 by millions of votes, but the electoral college gave it to anyway. Trump lost in 2020 by even more votes and the electoral college said that Biden won, but republicans said that doesn’t matter.

Gorrell, what would be really, really nice, is if YOU and the rest of the Trump Disciples would STOP LYING about everything!

Election stolen by widespread, undetectable voting fraud? That Fox “news” has to STOP LYING about because they will get sued?

The corona virus is a democratic hoax? With 335,000 dead Americans?

    .

    STOP LYING!

Why would they start treating Biden with respect? They haven’t so far. These are the people that label everything they hate as socialist. Most of them don’t even know the proper definition of the word. We’ll just let them worship their Trump flags and MAGA hats while they fool themselves into believing that their Trump-messiah will rise again in 2024.

You will note, you whiny hypocrite, that Democrats did NOT deny Trump’s victory as being legal. Corrupt and proven to be helped by a foreign government’s interference (which you seemed perfectly fine with). But Clinton conceded the very next day despite obvious and clear signs of rigging on Trump’s part. The Democratic Party did NOT refuse to call him president-elect. We did not — much as we hate everything that man has done or stands for — refuse to work with him. And we certainly did NOT discuss martial law in order to prevent him from taking power. So once again, your cartoon is just more right wing mockery of democracy.

This cartoon suggests that Trump’s actions had no impact on his acceptance. Certainly some never accepted Trump’s legitimacy. For well known reasons. Most did, and expected him to “grow” into the job as has happened with previous presidents. That clearly did not happen. And, with a start of his term that included the “American Carnage” speech, and the subsequent lying about the size of his inauguration crowd, many who might have been willing to “accept” saw clearly what the next 4 years were to be about.

Hillary Conceded the day of the election!

Al Gore conceded even though the Election was stolen by Bush via his brother the Governor of the contested state!

A republican is the Governor of Georgia and Trump is still denying the Truth.

He Lost the Election in a landside in both poplar vote and Electoral college.

The difference is that Hillary conceded the day after the election and did not ask state legislaature or Congress to overturn the election. Nor did she ask people to come to Washington to protest the results when they are read to Congress.

Hmm. Bob Gorrell you have a short memory. Why don’t we go back a little further to the Obama administration and consider the cooperation provided there by the GOP?

There is a difference. We knew Trump was a con before he ran for office. Time after time, he proved he had no empathy and no ethical compass, no respect or understanding of history and furthermore he had great difficulty with reading at the 8th grade level. Biden has a different character, far better knowledge, a much better education and great credibility with everyone in Washington except Trump.

I couldn’t give a toss whether trump supporters, herein referred to as idiots, accept Joe Biden. As they happily said to us, you lost, get over it. What I do care about is McConnel not doing his job and standing in the way of any and all progress towards a better society that helps the constituents rather than the lobbyists and foreign interests.

Looks like Gorrell has it backwards. We’ve had 4 years of “Suck it, Libs” and now they’re whining and crying that Trump’s loss is not fair and they should be respected.

the GOP move is to always play the victim, like when Lindsey Graham whined about democrats trying to hold Brett Kavanaugh accountable for a credible sexual assault allegation(that was barely investigated) as the reason it was okay to go back on his word not to confirm a supreme court nominee during the last year of a president’s term.

Now it’s “the left has been so unfair to Trump, that gives us the excuse to obstruct everything Biden will try to do!”

Hey, Bob! This is for you!

    https://youtube.com/watch?v=khK9fIgoNjQ&feature=share

Hilary Clinton’s concession speech. Trump could repeat it, word for word.

I respect the opposition party. We need an opposition party. The thing is, the opposition party has to allow government to continue while they are in the opposition. We still need budgets written, judges appointed, and laws passed while you wait your turn.

That does not happen with the modern GOP. Your current leadership lacks the capacity to oppose and still allow our government to function.

Ultra-conservative Republicans like you, Bob Gorrell, are going to make one rock-stupid, ineffective opposition party. You guys are the problem. You really are the minority in our nation, yet expect to run the world.

And like the spoiled, elite, whiny rich brats that you are, you will do everything you can to shut down the government until you can lie, cheat and steal your way back into power.

No, Bob, it’s not that the Dump supporters need to be nice, though that would be a positive outcome, but Dump himself that should be nicer and prepare for the new administration for the good of the nation. But, as we all know, Dump doesn’t really care about the nation and its losers, just himself and winning at all costs.

Many of all political philosophies had doubts that a man who bankrupted companies routinely, had numerous sexual predation allegations against him, made racist/sexist/xenophobic comments that a KKKer would blush at, demeaned persons with disabilities, and had absolutely no experience in government could be an effective president. And Hair Groppingfuror managed to limbo under that bar with ease.

Gorrell has a valid point: successful tactics are adopted by the other party. We’re seeing the right wing do all they can to delegitimize Biden. I expect that we’ll see demonstrations in DC against Biden that parrot the demonstrations against Trump. They won’t be the same: Biden is not as easy a target as Trump, and DC voted 91% for Clinton in 2016, and voted 94% for Biden in 2020. So, there won’t be the local support.

The big difference, of course, is that Trump and his supporters are attempting to destroy our democratic processes.

Hey GOP. If Joe Biden commit’s impeachable crimes like approaching a foreign power to help him win an election with a quid pro quo, then by all means lets do an investigation and see if it leads to impeachment. Until then, stuff it.

I don’t recall any Democrat claiming Trump was an “illegal” president — though he certainly was an unworthy one — but Trump’s election was not endlessly challenged by toadies.

As to the other charges: they are the legitimate prerogatives of citizens opposing the immoral policies of the Oaf of Office.

I do not expect the redneck, six-toed, sister-loving, knuckle-dragging supports of Trump to welcome Biden, but they will find that Biden will treat Trump supporters far more fairly than Trump treated Democrats.

Mueller didn’t investigate “collusion” because it’s not a legal term. He investigated “Russian interference”, however, and found a snootful. I can speculate with confidence that Mr Gorrell has not read the Mueller report, and the Great Orange never reads anything more extensive than a sugar packet (or a tweet), so HE definitely hasn’t read it.

This brings back memories of cartoons when Obama left office and when Bush left office. The side no longer holding the Presidency always makes these complaints. It’s a pity that memory is so short for politicians….and that ethics, honor, and honesty are so easily abandoned.
