@Linguist Today’s strip IS funny but puzzling , how come our HERO Mr Andrew Capp is sober and not involved in any of the brawls? I hope this won’t be a trend :o{ my avatar is a spoof of a wedding cake decoration of a Bride dragging the Groom to the Altar , which wasn’t in my case nor in any of yours :o) come avete passato la vostra Domenica mio meno vecchio amico ? our Sunday should be busy but calm I hope , we are both in a good mood and no dogs are coming over so we’,, just chill and watch the Holy Mass on the idiot box ( dozing in my case ) keep safe and a bientot pal

Andy probably started all the ruckus and then quietly slipped away.

I had a friend in high school who was notorious for starting fights dances and sporting events and then when the inevitable brawl ensued, he’d be nowhere to be found.

He was a little guy but always would pick a fight with the biggest guy he could find and then expect his buddies to back him up.

My father, keen observer of human nature, finally wised the rest of us up to what was happening. The next dance we went to, sure enough, he started an argument with some brute then turned looking for the rest of us to jump in. Unfortunately, for him, we were on our way out the door – waving goodby to him.

Needless to say, from that day on, he chose not to hang out with us.
