I lived near the Norfolk Naval Base. Sailors’ wives would lament about missing their husbands who were out to sea. After their husbands got back, it only took about 3 weeks, and you’d hear complaints of, “I wish he’d get deployed, he’s always in the way.” Their husbands would get deployed and the cycle would start over.
