Covid is a little short on table manners.

Give thanks….for family…for friends…for food to eat…for shelter from the elements. Give thanks…that you have…more than thousands of other people…who cannot be with their families…who cannot be with their friends…who do not have food to eat…who do no have shelter…

I’m curious…if you love your friends and family…why the heck would you endanger their lives by having a gathering that would harm or shorten the their lives…???… sorry…but I don’t understand how or why you would do that to another human being ,,,especially people you care about.

    Give thanks.

The other day, I read a direct quote from some politician who said that families should get together with their elderly relatives because this might be their last Thanksgiving! Yes, It might be their last if they get exposed to COVID. This kind of insane reasoning is why we’re still experiencing a huge increase in cases.

Either before or after the family gathering, be sure to join the congregation to pray together closely.

A special thank you to all the health care workers. They really don’t need anymore post holiday patients. Their already struggling with the numbers they have.

It was announced that Trump won’t be going to Mar-A-Logo this Thanksgiving. He will be having Thanksgiving at The White House to infect more that haven’t tested positive yet. I hope nobody brings up politics or religion.

Know what I haven’t heard this year? People complaining about Christmas! “Oh, man! It’s not even Thanksgiving yet, and all the stores are playing Christmas music!” and “I got the mail today and it was all stupid catalogs and gimme letters!” or “Why can’t Christmas be less commercial?” Instead people are looking forward to the holidays this time around!

I count that as progress! This year we’re doing it up red and gteen!! Will Fox stop complaining about some so-called “war”? Don’t Ho-Ho-Hold your breath!

How’s this? Let’s just have a nice meal with family. Not every uncle and aunt. Just a few. Maybe order the Christmas Pizza for Thanksgiving? That’d be nice. Then Chinese food for Christmas Day. Boy, I’m feeling better already.

    From elsewhere:

    A Zoom Thanksgiving

    Is better than

    An ICU Christmas

THAT was a Laugh-Out-Loud Surprise! LMAO. XDSeriously, though…. celebrate at home with your household and ask outside family to do the same. We’re having a Facetime holiday ourselves. It may not be as satisfying, but it is much safer. :)

You people who think it is more important to get together for a big family gathering, please then, when you get the plague, stay home and die. It was your choice to take the risk, and my RN son doesn’t need any more people dying on his ward and exposing him to their stupidity— and their disease that they chose to get. He hasn’t seen me or any other member of our family since February, and won’t until he can be vaccinated.

How difficult is it to ignore what’s going on around you and celebrate the holiday season in a low key and personal way? I pick and choose between the goodwill espoused by a holiday movie and the overkill that becomes a light show hanging from the eaves of the house. Simplify and enjoy in a personal way regardless of religion and politics. BTW, having the common sense to minimize holiday gatherings this year is the definition of what the holidays are all about, loving and caring for your fellow man.

Our extended family has bailed on Thanksgiving……Xmas is most likely next, no big deal as there never was any empire wide census.
