I’d bet it was fun for Steve to illustrate this. I have previously described Trump as a “basilisk” that metaphorically poisoned people by his words — but now he is capable of doing it literally, with his very breath. The gods have been subtle but effective in this Metamorphosis. They finally responded to his incessant hubris. It might have been kinder just to inflict him alone, with ears of an ass.

I’ve always heard that hindsight vision is always 20/20. (I won’t the pun was unintentional, but it wasn’t purely intentional either.)

Wearing masks and social distancing is about protecting others from you.

These basic humanitarian precautions perfectly frame the two mindsets – Trumpthink and everybody else. Believing themselves to be personally safe from the virus, Trumpthinkers could not care less that they might spread the disease and kill someone. The Trumps all took their masks off at the ‘debacle debate’, potentially exposing everyone present to something that could kill them.

Trumpthink — I do whatever I want, and to hell with you all.

Kellyanne Conway, Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien, Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.), Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah), and top White House aide Hope Hicks tested positive for the virus.

This Friday morning Fox interviewed a Dr. Scott Atlas, a neuro-radiologist ‘advisor’ on Trump’s pandemic commission who actively discourages mask use and testing. Without even seeing the president, Atlas diagnosed him with a mild case & quick recovery. Fox’s Chris Wallace followed up by reminding us that Atlas is not qualified as anything but a radiologist, and to “Just wear the damned masks.”

Maryland’s own cross to bear – Andy Harris – is also a doctor, and discourages masks. He’s an anesthesiologist. You’d honestly think that the guy who fills your lungs with “sleepy stuff” would know those lungs need to be kept clean. He opposed the stay-at-home rules, and in May of 2020 he claimed it was safe to open the state. The following two weeks had over 350 deaths each.

Angry, amoral, belligerent, deranged, deluded, irrational, and vindictive are not attributes you want to see in a guy who’s in control of nuclear weapons.

    @MontanaBill

    State of Montana:

    • Total COVID-19 Cases: 13,855

    • Total recovered cases: 9,569

    • Total unrecovered cases: 4,286

    • Total number of deaths: 186

    • Number of deaths Aug. & Sept.: 132

    • Number of new cases per day: 360

The disease doesn’t care if you are against Nazi fascism or for it. Wear some kind of mask so that you don’t end up killing someone.

I think that the Biden campaign should have insisted on a simple airflow barrier between the two debaters.

The President arrived too late to be tested for Covid-19 before the debate . . .it’s that interesting also the Trump family removed their masks after the debate started. Reported by Chris Wallace of FOX NEWS the day after the debate.

Excellent artwork, Mr. Benson! I fervently hope Biden continues to stay well, even after such preventable exposure! I agree that the debate commission should have put up a plexiglass barrier between the two candidates like they do at grocery stores (and used to have on salad bars – remember those?).
