Anything Trump et all touch is tainted. We will have lots of work ahead of us. Build back better. Always must remember there are more trumps and McConnells and tea bagg… partiers – “freedom caucus” creeps – out there ready to bring the country down again.
If Judge Amy Corney Barrett had any “class”, she would condemn this action and ask the Republication party to put a stop to this disgraceful and disgusting deed. The Republican Party has no decorum left. What a bunch of hypocritical evangelical’s!
@Montana Bull >— Trump’s nominee has pledged to be faithful to the Constitution and has shown that she will do exactly that.
I call BS on that statement. She has come out in the past against all civil rights laws since they are based on the 14th Amendment and/or 15th Amendment which in her view should be considered null and void. That doesn’t sound like her pledge to be faithful to the Constitution is worth a crap. She appears to pick and choose what she likes from the Constitution while discarding all the parts she doesn’t like, just like all the right wing pseudo-Christians with their Bible.
The part of this that sincerely pisses me off is the idea that it’s perfectly okay to just not hold hearings on Obama’s nomination, for months and months… and then rush through this one in a few days, just so #3 can dispute the election results all the way to a court that he and Mitch have appointed 33%, and which will be not just right-leaning (which I find to be acceptable if the justices simply do their job well) but holding at least two, maybe three justices who will NOT do their job well… and have made no bones about it.

Well, this has been true for quite some time. However, Murder Turtle has taken it to a whole new level.

Leave it to Republicans to screw it all up with their hypocrisy and willingness to enable a tax cheat to pick people to uphold the Constitution.

It’s “The Trumpian Knot.” Any appointments to SCOTUS will forever be known as “Trump Appointments,” and lose much of their good reputations thereby.

Mitch should write a book and title it “Ethics in Politics”.
