Useful idiot Trump is the poison that Putin put into our democracy. Very effective Vlad, but don’t count us as dead until we have one more election. If it’s the last election, you win.
As I may have noted before, one does hafta hand it to Vlad the Poisoner. I’m quite certain that Big Daddy Vladdy Putin purchased for himself a POTUS and a sufficient number of congressional RepubliKlans for far less than the cost of one Russian nuclear submarine. And, clever fellow that he is, Putin’s left us with a toxic and highly radioactive mess. He may not have gotten the sanctions against him & Russia lifted, yet, but he’s certainly gotten his vengeance.
I guess we’ll see. I had hoped to see such a landslide that even #3 couldn’t mistake it for a win, but the polls seem to be saying otherwise. Which makes me very very sad.
To poison enemies is traditionally considered a low, dishonorable way to eliminate them. But it is tempting, as it is effective long-range; and until recent centuries, likely undetectable. Although male agents have done their great share of poisonings throughout history, women mainly have been blamed. Europe in the 16th and 17th centuries saw many famous case of professional and amateur poisoning by women, attributed to jealousies, revenge, and greed. But really, aren’t men the greatest purveyors of poison, if you consider false propaganda as poisoning the attitudes of entire nations?
Vladimir Putin, suspected in ordering the poisoning of political dissidents, probably meant those acts as dire warnings to others. He could have ordered quick assassinations by guns and bombs. That’s not the present style among elite leaders — it is inelegant and obvious. And even if a poison is detected later, Putin can brush it off, and always has.
With largely unregulated social media, he has found a better means to poison: Instead of infecting bodies, slow poisoning of minds on a large scale. What better way to cripple the judgment of populations than to drip disinformation into their daily media feed, that people disingenuously regard overall as benign as saline.
We should loudly protest such intrusions; but they slither and hide, or chameleon-like, blend cleverly into the background. What is disgraceful is that Putin franchises the insidious skills to our leaders to do it to us. It’s as if he’s organized a Despot Club to swap poison recipes.
There are eager customers for it. They buy the products and after a markup, distribute them. And sadly, they do sell well. I think with the proper advertising, at this point many people would buy prettily-packaged Trump-brand S—t On A Stick.

This will go down as the cheapest way to conquer a country.. In days of old they used a trojan horse.. history will update that.. to just install a stooge and manipulate him to destroy the system from the inside.
Although maggots and nuts are the same damn thing, and I’m pretty sure that the Trump supporters, being without brains themselves, might well shoot at OURS, instead of our butts. (Of course, from what I’ve seen of the people—to use the term loosely—who attend Li’l Donnie’s rallies, their butts could blot out the sun…………..)

We’ve had enuff // of Vladimir’s stuff; -
- he treats us ruff // and he’s ‘way too gruff
and he’s ‘way too tuff // for Trump to rebuff.
The Donald won’t even huff and puff,
‘cause Trump won’t get off his flabby duff
to pretend to the Rooskies that he’s up to snuff.

Putin is very smart and dedicated to his own power and wealth… a stable genius. He really knows how to play our system, especially our president.

[insincere apologies for re-posting this damn thing]
Mine eyes have seen the pity of our so-called prexy, Trump
His mind an empty wasteland, and his mouth a sewage dump
But even yet his cultists always jump when he says “jump”!
The way he carries on!
Glory, glory, you can’t reach him
Glory, glory, you can’t teach him
Best to out and out impeach him
The way he carries on!
Trump is Putin’s Poodle, he’ll do anything for Vlad
He’ll tell him all the secrets of our nuclear triad
Whoever would have thought that treason could become a fad?
The way he carries on!
Glory, glory, you can’t reach him
Glory, glory, you can’t teach him
Best to out and out impeach him
The way he carries on!
All the members of Trump’s Cabinet were told by Trump to lie
(But what’s a little perjury, when crooks see eye to eye?)
Were Nixon here, it’s very clear, that even he would sigh
The way he carries on!
Glory, glory, you can’t reach him
Glory, glory, you can’t teach him
Best to out and out impeach him
The way he carries on!
