That movie would be Twister, right?

Without the Shark, it is Congress in session – nothing but wind.

Torn-a-Do… I figure it is describing itself! ;)

But without a twister we still got “Jaws, Jaws 2, Jaws 3, Ja….”

With the sharks, not even worth a single…

Ah, who am I kidding? I watched them all anyway.

Then there was the ill-fated spinoff movie about an invasion of wind-borne cattle. “Tornados Of Beef” just didn’t sell… the review in Vegan Times gave it a rotten tomato.

An ill wind that blows no one any good? Hm …

That word is such a twister, though.

With the various hurricanes roaming in the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico I have been reading about the 1900 storm that decimated Galveston. There are two books, Isaac’s Storm, by Erik Larson, and A Weekend in September, by John Edward Weems. I read them both about 10 years ago, but am re-reading them so that I can expound on various points of hurricane trivia to those people who will still converse with me. I won’t bore you folks, but I do recommend these books for a better understanding of hurricanes and their destructive power.

The State song of Texas should be the wailing of a Tornado siren.

Zombies and Sharks…we can’t seem to get enough of them!
