Perhaps if the person in OUR WHITE HOUSE would listen to the real doctors things would be better. Maybe calling it a hoax did not help or demeaning smart people who wear masks. I wonder what things would be like if he had pushed wearing masks and being careful back in March. Maybe our death toll would be much lower.

OK, since you brought it up, Varvel: Who IS responsible for the fact that our covid response is state by state? Would it by #3 himself (counting those who’ve been impeached)? The one who declined to make any policy, saying it should be up to the states? That guy? But, now you’re complaining that the states and localities have different systems? When YOUR guy caused it! What a consistent kind of guy you are! Not.

Gee, Gary, if only we had some kind of, I dunno…leader who could dictate some sort of, I dunno…_national policy for pandemic response…

You know, other countries, with coherent, national plans, have used all of those tools to defeat coronavirus and start reopening. So has NY. The fact that the GOP has not come up with a similar plan means that thousands more Americans will still die.

If only they would listen to the medical experts, there wouldn’t be so many choices. Instead, Trump replaces an epidemic expert with a radiologist who has no experience with epidemics.

So Varvel is concerned about “businesses”, but apparently not about people.

In fact, he doesn’t even bother to emphasize “small” businesses.
