“Someone once told me the grass is much greener on the other side. Well, I paid a visit, and it’s possible I missed it; it was different, but exactly the same.”(As Told By Ginger)
If I remember, “Chuck” offered her HIS bedroom and HE would sleep on the couch. This is her own fault. Besides, when it rained, why didn’t she know enough to come inside? Plus there was not toilet or shower in the “guest cottage”. —Yeah, I know it’s a cartoon, but this is just too stupid for me.
It’s not a guest cottage, sir! It’s a doghouse! And Snoopy isn’t a funny looking kid with a nose, he’s a dog! When are you going to face up to reality, sir?
Patty’s problem is all too common. People form unrealistic expectations of others and then become angry and blame the others when they fail to live up to them.
Peppermint is like a lot of people today. Blaming because of what they “think” is true without finding out what the FACTS really are. AND when facts are given, totally choose to ignore them for ‘what they think’ is true or continue to believe the lies they made up in their heads because of their feelings. Who knew Schultz was so far ahead of his time? js
Back on Saturday, I may have been too harsh with Peppermint Patty in this storyline. While I still don’t think this has been Schulz’s best work, I thought it over and see his point. Since Patty doesn’t live like the others in the strip, she not only wants to see how the other half lives, but thinks it might be an improvement on her own situation. There is a still the temptation to believe the grass is greener elsewhere.

P Patty learned a good life lesson; “The Grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence”……

I think Charles Dickens wrote a book based on that. “Great Expectations” or something…

Peppermint Patty is annoying. She was mean in the original comic, but she was also funnier.

PEANUTS DRINKING GAME
———————————————————
If P. Patty tells Marcie to not call her sir, that’s a sip
If P. Patty expresses her belief that Snoopy is just a weird looking kid, that’s a chug
If Chuck’s kite gets stuck in a tree, chug
If a character says “AUUGGGHHH”, 2 chugs
Whenever the Red Baron shows up, 2 sips
Add on, folks!
