While Gorrell does call Qanon conspiracy nuts, he does so in his usual intentionally vague “this isn’t anyone’s fault” way, avoiding pointing to the right wing media conditions that allowed Qanon to grow(pizzagate, birtherism, George Soros, plandemic…) and the president who refuses to disavow or condemn them.

The president has always been okay with support coming from anywhere, white nationalists, neo-nazis, conspiracy theorists are welcome in Trump’s party.

The better way to do this cartoon would have been a GOP elephant, with a deadly tumor labeled Qanon, saying something like “it’s okay the tumor is supporting me”
