Those old reading books were gone by the time I was in school, but I did read some old textbooks from a yard sale once: The Friendly Village (with Alice and Jerry)… I doubt they would pass muster nowadays.
The most interesting was the 1935 History text book, and its references every now and then to “The Great War”; first time I’d ever heard it called that in my (then) young life :-)

Try saying “sit” with a mask on. Spot may leave a spot on the floor.

I once had a dog that liked sitting so much that he slid around the carpet on his butt… Until my mom took him to the vet and got that anal itch fixed.

Rosco – don’t feel bad the comic strip is really about you!

I’d rather read Rosco’s wry remarks than seeing Spot’s silent sojourns.
