I don’t even know where to begin with the hypocrisy of Bok pretending to care about black people.

In fact I have seen absolutely no such thing being bruited. Though it’s true that the cops in some places are effectively lynch mobs… minus the ropes and bonfires. I suspect that either Bok or whoever is his guru made this up out of the whole cloth.

Cops are given too many types of jobs—they are overextended, and they burn out Social workers need to be handling domestic disputes and psychiatrists need to handle mentally ill people. Cops shouldn’t have to take on every issue that comes up. They need to enforce the law. That’s what they are supposed to do.

One of our biggest problems with our cops is that too many of them have guns. Many are just not responsible enough to know who to use them. An armed citizen patrol wouldn’t be any better because there would be those same guns involved and the patrol would probably be even less responsible.

There are already armed citizen patrols around. There was a group who went to Charlottesville to protect the Nazis.

Georgia already has them; just ask the family of Ahmaud Arbery.
