We’re required to wear clothes, particularly shoes and shirts, when we shop, so we do; we’re required (almost universally) to wear bathing suits to swim at pools, lakes, rivers, & the ocean, so we do; we’re required to pass a driving test & get a driving license in order to operate a vehicle and that vehicle must be insured, so we do; we’re required to identify ourselves to various so-called law-enforcement officials before we can fly from one city to another, so we do; however, when we’re told that we should wear an almost weightless mask to cover our mouths and noses lest we cause illness or death to others or ourselves, our stupidity button gets stuck in overdrive. Given the breathtaking depth, breadth, and length of the willing embrace of ignorance nationwide, it is a miracle (if miracles can be negative) that it took 70 years to pave the path for the most corrupt, venal, mendacious, psychopathic, narcissistic, Machiavellian would-be despot to acquire the mindless adulation of an increasingly & justifiably disillusioned & disenchanted, rapidly shrinking coterie of bigots, racists, jingoist, and all-round idiots.

You stole my reply on another comic. But the 3rd panel is wrong. It is the civilian elected leaders who determine where to deploy our military. Soldiers, by oath, take orders. conservatives rarely send their kids when they can send someone else’s kids.

It was really stupid of Republicans to politicize a virus, no telling how many Americans are going to die due to anti science, anti reality Republican stupidly.

Covid would be over in 4 to 6 weeks if everyone wore a mask, Republicans keep the USA shut down month after month after month with no end in sight. In fact the covid is expanding rapidly.

For a brief moment, even Trump told them to wear masks… but Trump back-tracked as soon as they resisted…

If the government(s) were even handed about the mask rules we MIGHT be a bit more accepting.

But that is not the case. Business owners arrested while BLM “protests” are allowed.

When the government makes an effort to enforce masks and social distancing at the daily riots, come back to the table and we can discuss the matter.
