Only football joke I ever got in my entire life was when someone said they were going to make a movie about the OJ Simpson trial, and John Elway was going to play the slow white Bronco.
The sure thing quick “verdict is already in” trial until some fool(s) decided what a great idea it would be to have the accused try to put on a leather item that had been saturated and dried (while wearing a latex glove).
Anyone else ever try to put on a leather glove that had been soaked and then dried? A pre-law student could have told them how dumb it would be to get suckered into agreeing to do that.
Then the media focused on the “found innocent” as he searched the golf courses throughout the country for the real killer.
If you weren’t alive at the time, it’s pretty much impossible to describe how completely the O.J. Simpson murder trial consumed the American cultural scene. It was just about all anybody talked about for months. Every day was televised, every twist and turn dissected. The day the verdict was announced was insane. This was only the start of it.
The rich, powerful, and celebrities will never be punished or spend more than the minimum amount of jail time, with using, a gaggle of lawyers, political pressure, or outright bribes to the proper people it will not happen. Unless equally powerful individuals want them jailed.
I thought that they ???? Someone proved that OJ did not do it but a black male was there and the hair in the knit hat was his not OJ’s . The LA police made a real mess of this . As did the press did with the Scott Peterson trial . He has be proven innocent also but is still on death row . ( at least some reasonable doubt that is )
