Is there ever again going to be a decent father in this strip? Last one I can remember is Von Haney’s father, about 15 years ago. More recently we’ve seen Drunk Driver Bader and Helicopter Standish.

P1- Corina looks like a slimmed down Brent Raptor from that angle. Did we ever learn why she had to attend Valley Modified HS? Phoebe’s brassiere is the greatest communicator since Ronald Reagan.
P-4: Yep, Mom tried to set the house on fire because of all the junk in her life, then she framed me ‘cause I was only nine. Next thing you know, I’m at VM with authority (figure) issues.

Yeah, I wouldn’t say someone who tries to burn down a house is “tough”. Psychotic, dangerous, in need of therapy is more of what I had in mind. And speaking of therapy, the best therapy for dealing with this strip is reading Mopped Up Thorp.
