The difficulty we egotistic US residents are having is that you are choosing the mask for yourself so as to prevent other people from getting the tag. If Covid 19 were more immediately infective (and had higher lethality) we’d all be protecting ourselves. This whole “brothers’ keeper” thing is quite apparently beyond us.
What are the best ways to contract/spread a highly contagious respiratory infection that is spread by air-born droplets, (from coughs, sneezes, talking) from me to everyone around me?
MAGAts won’t take A. It’s un-American. They’ll reject B because it’s just the flu and 99% of people contracting the virus are unaffected. Besides, if you don’t test you can’t get sick. Their leader says so. So they’ll choose door #3. Another hate rally.
I wish it was that definitive, but many people that wear masks get ill, and many people that don’t, won’t. Still, I am wearing the best, affordable, mask I could find. Any real American government would be passing them out free, by the millions. Just saying.
It is true that wearing a mask isn’t a silver bullet or absolute preventative. Neither does wearing a seat-belt prevent you from having an automobile accident, but it does mitigate the effects of one.
Problem is, we’re allowing Trump to choose for us. Trump demands Schools to open, without restrictions, in the Fall, as if there were no Covid-19 virus. Why we let him do that is still a mystery to me. Trump has no authority to order U.S. citizens to do or not do anything.
The concept of selflessness, working for the common good, seems to have disappeared from the American personna. Those of the Greatest Generation are turning over in their graves.
The virus is nature’s way of flushing the stupid and selfish out of America’s gene pool. The rest of us have to do everything we can to protect ourselves while this purge is going on.
It’s patriotic to drop dead, get out of the way, and make the world safe for plutocrats who forget they don’t know so much as how to change a flat tire. Much less fix the A/C, plant and raise and harvest crops …
Ironically, airline employees sometimes refer to boarding passes as “toe tags,” or at least they did at one time. Jargon comes and goes, so that one may be obsolete by now.

If you choose for yourself, it would be the mask; if Trump and the republicans choose for you, it will be the tag. Don’t let them choose.

If only it could be limited to people only choosing their own toe tag.

Not doing A could lead to multiple B for those around you.

Americans of all backgrounds have difficulty doing other small tasks that benefit society overall:
1. Recycling
2. Not Littering
3. Respecting the Elderly.
4. Courtesy in traffic situations.
5. Lowering one’s voice when appropriate.
6. Etc, etc
It took us 19 years to get our youngest daughter to do dishes or laundry. And, as a nation, we still haven’t officially adopted the metric system……

The toe tags, like the stimulus checks , are required to show:" Courtesy of Donald J. Trump, President of The United States."
Should you receive a toe tag for an already deceased person, please pass it on to someone at the next Trump re-election rally.

Some people won’t wear masks because Big Orange doesn’t. It’s a case of MAGA see MAGA do.
