Last-minute rehearsing for the monthly Curse-off at the convent. Sister Victorine must have won the last one.

Asian giant hornets, the world’s largest wasp, have been spotted in Washington State, just north of where I live.

I think I prefer flying nuns.

You will find flying nuns in Philadelphia, PA. Sista Hood. Or Mt Hood Oregon.

In countries of the British Commonwealth nurses are called “Sister” because sisters were the original nurses. The little hats that nurses wore were based on a cut-down version of a nun’s wimple. I did not learn that until the end of my first year of post-doc studies. And now you can just learn that from Google.

Well, that’s not a nice thing to say about poor old Sister Victorine, Sister Teresa! What did she ever do to you?

Let us pray for all the souls in the habit of the Sisters of the Perpetually Lame of Froglandia!

Victorine? That’s a new one. (Actually, I looked it up and found several nuns with this name. Who knew?)
