    @Number Three Today’s strip IS funny, our HERO Mr Andrew Cappis always being critisized by his mother in law who hates him as much as he hates her , unlike me I liked Connie’s mum more than I did my own , my avatar is a photo of my youngest son Alex when he tried to grow a beard but it did not suit him , how was your day ? our Finally Friday should be very busy with Alex continuing with the plumbing , but at least I will have my fav nosh this afternoon:o) , take care and BCNU pal

    It’s often been observed that in a woman’s house a husband is, at best, useful and decorative. At best…

    Ornament? More of an eyesore, if you ask me.

    But an ornament serves a purpose, even if it is just to look pretty. But what sort of purpose does Andy provide?

    Painful to hear, Andy? But will it motivate you to do .. anything productive? Doubtful, beyond a pigeon feeding or attempt at the race track.

    As a parent, I was thinking how horrible it would be to have your daughter married to someone like Andy Capp.

    But he moves (to the pub) enough so that Flo doesn’t have to dust him.

    “Exhibit” rather than “ornament” I should think.

    Ornament? That’s being too kind. Nah. Junk. Of the useless variety. The kind one finds at a flea market or garage sale. Maybe it’s time for a garage sale.

    Does this make him something of a trophy husband?

    Calling Andy an ornament is an insult to ornaments.

    @Afficionado

    Today I met up with a guy who used to go to my school. Had an amazing time just talking about all sorts of stuff and catching up. When we were leaving, he told me that he had a crush on me when we were at school but was too nervous to tell me. That made my day because (and I know some people on here will totally disagree) I’m hardly anything special or much to look at.

    We gave each other a hug and then went our separate ways.

    Enjoy your favourite nosh, pal. I forgot what that consisted of but saw you telling Little Caesar.

    Have a lovely weekend, pal. Stay safe, stay well and stay happy.
