We are so glad we adopted our 11-year-old cat from the shelter, she is a sweet lovable furry buddy. We have her for one year and she is the best pet ever.

Cats don’t really need rescuing. They’ll come down on their own when they get hungry enough. Otherwise, it’s just for the attention. And the LULZ.

Friends of mine just received a pair of sibling kittens. After swearing that their last cat, who crossed the Bridge this past winter, was their last ever. :-)

I feel quite envious. We have reached an age when we honestly feel it would not be good to adopt an animal . We can’t walk a dog any more and we can’t guarantee being around for any length of time for either a dog or cat. We make do with our family’s dogs but it’s not the same.

They seem to have multiple personalities. Don’t let the quiet, uninterested personas fool you!

I also adopted a pair of brothers. They were the last two at the vet’s who needed a home before the big vet clinic move. After having an only-cat for years I finally figured out that it was good for a kitty to have a buddy.

These cats could use a lobotomy so they’ll be normal.

All my kitties have been rescues, with a few from deplorable conditions. This includes the 3 purebred Maine Coons. Even purebred cats and dogs can be found in shelters.

The “wee tricksey beasties” rule…weird, but you gotta love them.
