At one time, tennis strings were made of animal intestine, called catgut for its flexibility. Since it was weakest off center, a position favored by beginners, artificial string is used. But, catgut, not made from cat’s intestine, though that would definitely scare off Woodstock, is a very good material since its flexibility aids in protecting players from tennis elbow. Usually made from cows or sheep, it is also very expensive and so manufacturers have opted for synthetic materials.

This could have been a Stephan Pastis strip. I keep expecting to see Rat trying to beat up Charles Shulz.

Bird gut? Artifical string? Woodstock would have probably prefered catgut.

A secretary is a good critic, especially if the payments are made low.
