If anything it looks like the toothbrushes are forming a barrier to the light. But the physics is just weird here.

Whatever it is that is happening, it is interesting.

And the writing on the wall plaque looks more like Arabic than English

Well, I think they are paralyzed.

Calling it, Duffy was blinded.

Also, with a super duper computer program, I can read the sign. It says: “The Dentist is [OUT]”

So, so far no harm done to any of our four. They’re obviously reacting to Wally’s light, but – how? They’ve not only lost color, they’re lost definition. Stating the obvious here, but we have not heard the whole story yet. (Did I mention I love Endtown!)

Don’t comment very often but I thought I would share this insight. Look at Wally’s light beam. It is showing that it is moving forward and pushing the brushes along with its beam tell the brushes have become cornered in a light box in the last panel.

Wally is one focused kitty right now. His ditto wall is pushing back the brushes…..just how long can he hold his concentration?

They are isolating Wally, he is the object of their quest. Why? Stay tuned.

Wally, try talking to them…

Topsider: “This is why we can’t have nice things. Now, quit playing and get back to work.”

I would say the brushes are attracted by the light and are now boxed in. (By Wally’s Dittos or what ever. Perhaps it’s a Mime box with invisible walls that they can never escape from.

YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!

And then – the batteries in Wally’s lamp died…………………….

Ditto-Toothbrushes?

Silly thought just entered my head — Panel 3 – “Hey guys! Wait for me!!!” (at least it looks to me like one late-comer trying to catch up with the rest of the brushes)

In panel 1 it does look like it is the light but it intersects with the wall the wrong way. Wally is clearly surprised, he has the same surprise marks as Allen does in panel 4. You can also see the first toothbrushes caught up in the field. In panel 2 you can see more toothbrushes caught up in the field as it starts to pass Duffy. In the 3rd panel it has passed Duffy, is about halfway thru passing Allen and is almost a complete wall. By the panel 4 it is a complete wall, it has passed Allen and Allen is surprised by what has happened. All I surmise is that some force pushing the tooth brushes out of the way, and if it is dittos, Wally has no conscious control over them.

Where are they going?

Dittos fighting against the dental industry.

Why does everyone assume it’s dittos at work here? There is no obvious evidence of their interference that I can see. Maybe it’s purely an outside force, having nothing to do with dittos.

This comic is pure genius… Always taking unexpected turns ans eerie ways. Evil toothbrushes… OK ! Love it ! As always !
