Now that Republican lawmakers all over America are sabotaging efforts to flatten the curve, will you feel the same when the next pandemic wave hits and the death toll soars into the hundreds of thousands?

Everybody is being damaged. But mostly, with luck, most of us will be alive and damaged.

They should have just let it “wash over” the U.S. What’s a few more thousand deaths as long as cartoonists are safe while working alone? It’s the money that matters.

The CV19 has pointed out the huge weaknesses in our economic system. A system which can be remade to be stronger and more beneficial to more people, less vulnerable to disasters.

Your rethugican congressional leaders made sure that a large portion of funds that should have helped small business went to corporations that didn’t need it with no oversight.

We’ll send out the next stimulus checks soon after everybody is bankrupt or after the election. In the meantime we will give you directions to your local food bank. Don’t walk in front of steam rollers that will open the economy and increase gains on Wall Street. Don’t wear a mask if you don’t want. What have you got to . . .oh, never mind.

I am truly sorry for what small businesses are experiencing. If there were fewer money hoarders running big corporations, the little guy/gal could get their share.

Notice Robert A. is not pointing fingers at any particular culprit, just Uncle Sam, which means us. He can’t bring himself to say that Repubs killed assistance to small business, real small business.

Yeah, Robert. Government, headed by Trump, it the real problem, and not Covid-19, right? Let’s see what false equivalence you will use to wiggle your way out of that one.

I guess we didn’t have the kind of economy that could last through a short crisis. Now wait for the effects of climate change.

That flattening the curve concept was a poorly worded excuse to pause… wait for the hospitals to gear up.. wait for the production lines of PPE to get up to speed. Now.. lets start on developing that herd immunity thing.. and those that die in the process.. well, tough beans.

From all the critics of social distancing, the one thing missing was their solution to stopping the wildfire spread of covid-19. Especially after it was allowed to gain such a solid foothold in the U.S. after the failure of the Angel of Death to take meaningful action. Crickets chirping….

There are viruses that remain within the system and only resurface when the body is weakened. This could be one of them. Those young healthy people who have survived the virus this time may have a surprise if they are ever in a car wreck, have a disease that is usually not fatal, or just get another case of the same virus. We don’t know what we are dealing with, and not taking all possible precautions is stupid.

Big business has been doing that to small business for decades. But that’s okay if you’re part of the richest 10%…

Thanks to anti testing Republicans the virus is still out there strong, keeping the USA closed. The people are smarter than the right wing morons.

Congressional Republican are intent on copying Hoover’s response to the Crash of ‘29, which will yield the same results. Will Orange Doofus himself, or anyone he can be persuaded by, realize in time that the only possible result of withholding stimulus funding to whatever degree is required is the only thing which will prevent a second Great Depression in less than a century? Nothing blinds so much as complete emotional faith investment in (fiscal policy, religious, you name it) ideology. Binary thinking ends in totalitarianism ends in system collapse.

How is a business with over 1 thousand employees, a “small business” given the owner is a member of the .1% and a trump supporter, he got $20 million. After Social Media put massive amounts of pressure on him, for a couple of weeks, he returned the money

Can someone point to a “good” reasoned analysis of balancing the health and economic effects of the pandemic? It seem that, “ These days, politics seems to dictate that if one party says, “The sky is blue,” the other party is obligated to reply, “No, it’s not, and you’re a terrible human being for thinking that.”

As several above comments have inferred, #45 and his ‘enablers’ accept NO responsibility for the chaotic spread of COVID-19 [ due to #45’s “non-response” in Feb. and March…. ].
