McConnell et al have a whole lot to answer for about this. Though the folks who were willing to vote for him, whether or not they were deluded into it have even more to answer for.

Two of the smartest (but most corrupt) evil geniuses in the close Trump inner trusted circle, Attorney General William Barr, truly smart but truly evil, and Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar, have both advised Trump to drop his lawsuit to terminate the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).

This is not because they care about affordable care and guaranteed access to health care.

Both Barr and Azar are heartless, morally bankrupt soulless ciphers of decency.

Nope. They have no empathy or compassion whatsoever. But they are smart. They have warned Trump that cancelling health care for tens of millions of people, in a pandemic, in a presidential election year, will guarantee a crushing November defeat.

Trump, lacking in both empathy and morality, also lacks for intelligence.

He is ignoring his smartest (and most evil) advisors, and rushing forward to kill Obamacare.

If politics was all that mattered, I would be chortling with glee at Trump’s easy self-destruction.

But I care about those who would lose their access to care in a pandemic, and I am horrified by such a prospect.

    He’s already slashed CDC funding.

He’s already disbanded the pandemic response team.

    He’s already defunded the WHO.

He’s already defunded Covid-19 bat research in China.

He’s already planned to disband the Covid-19 taskforce (which he only just walked back).

Of course his next decision will be to destroy healthcare in America as much as possible.

Trump can’t really help himself – after being totally humiliated (as well as being thoroughly out-classed by Obama) he must totally destroy all vestiges of Obama from his sight.

Had the Affordable Care Act not been nicknamed, “Obamacare”, it might have been safe, but “Obamacare” reminds Trump of the humiliation he suffered at the hands of Obama and so must be destroyed.

It’s a hoary movie cliche that I hesitate to bring up, but … The Trump Buzzsaw in the Republican lumber mill continues to divide the country into chunks of firewood. What is the word for murder of our nation? Natiocide? Democracide? The 1917 silent movie “Blue Jeans” (q.v.) shows a woman saving a man from a huge ripsaw. Can women save this country in the upcoming presidential election?

    Chapter Eleven – {4 beats/line}

For business these times ain’t no “Seventh Heaven”: -

    - Many are filing for “Chapter Eleven”,

panicked by our nation’s headlong erosion

toward our karma, – economic implosion. …

… They’d hoped that The Donald was a “Lucky Seven”,

but this is a thing which Trump can’t fix,

‘cause Trump is a veritable “Six Six Six”.

Get the feeling he wants an all-out shooting war between the Republikkklans and the losers? You know, like the race war that Obama incited? Remember when BHO declared martial law and seized power?

Trump gets away with his immoral and criminal activity along with his willful stupidity because the RepubliCONS and MAGAts are in retribution mode. It’s always been about payback. Most don’t even care if their hurt in the process. They’re simply determined to punish the US for electing an African American President.

Wondering how those who are so attached to employer paid health insurance will react when their insurance is cancelled. Yang, Sanders, Warren, and the rest of the world with universal healthcare look better and better.

Terminate Health Care in the midst of a pandemic? No one would be much surprised, Sir. And I daresay a significant number of your base would cheer wildly.

This reminds me of the old rhyme:

    The optimist fell ten stories

    At each window bar

    He shouted to his friends

    “I’m alright, so far!”

I wonder how many Republicans (and, for that matter, how many intelligent people) know that “Obamacare” is really ROMNEY care? Romney picked up the football that Republicans had kicked around since way back in Nixon days, and there is very little difference indeed between his version and Obama’s version.

And, YES, I’m leaving now, but one last thing (as Columbo used to say……..):

Deep (and maybe even deeper) Trump does know that Obama is intelligent, honest, decent, worthwhile, and patriotic, whereas Li’l Donnie is none of those things, never was any of those things, and never will be any of those things. That eats at him the way he eats at a hamberder!

Yea Trump’s a big ol garbage bag for sure, but did you all know that Joe Biden campaigned for a GOP congressmen in Michigan named Fred Upton (another one of these wingnuts drooling to repeal the ACA), turning the tide for the Midwest GOP in the midterm elections?

Yes, it was a long time ago in looks at watch 2018.

But at least Biden got paid $200,000 for his support :)

And look, I’m not trying to do a whataboutism here. The brutal reality is that neither of these parties give a crap about you unless you’re already rich. Everything is a game to them. At least with Trump they tell you to their face they don’t want you to have nice things. The Democratic establishment just lies to you, then behind your back gives your money to the same GOP dill holes that are gonna take what could’ve been your healthcare funding and turn it into 7 more mega-yachts for their corporate donors.

Again, the Democratic party doesn’t want to win, because then they’ll have no excuse for why they aren’t enacting any of the policies they said they’d use to help the working class actually have better lives. That’s why they kneecapped the first working class candidate to run in most of our life times and left us with this republican-lite candidate. Do what you want with the information, but if you blindly support Biden, you’re in bed with the same people that cage children and throw poor people to the wolves.

Anyway, here’s my right-wing propaganda source with the story if you want to learn more, lol: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/23/us/politics/biden-speech-fred-upton.html
