Did anyone ever explain why that giant couldn’t come up with a better rhyme than “fum” and “man”?
I mean, if he was just making up syllables like “Fee-fi-fo…,” he could just as easily have said “Fee-fi-fo-fan.” Or “Fee-fi-fo-fun,” if he pronounced “Englishman” as “Englishmun.”
