The English full breakfast also consists of black pudding and sautéed mushrooms.

Gosh, are they still allowed to eat out in the UK? Restaurants can be open?

@ Number Three Today’s strip is slightly funny , our HERO Mr Andrew Capp trying to neutralize all that junk food’s harmful effects by ordering a low calorie spread on his bread is funny :o) I actually saw that here in Malta . while we were in a small restaurant , an acquantance had ordered two servings of macaroni pie , a dozen cheesecakes {pastizzi) but a diet Pepsi , eventually he had both legs amputated and kicked the bucket , my avatar is a spoof about the % of use that Lego blocks are used , usually when my boys were kids I used to thread barefoot on the (expletive) things , today most of the world celebrates workers day so it’s a public holiday here but dedicated to St Joseph , how was your day? ours should be busy but calm I hope , stay safe and BCNU palPS Workers day does not apply for Andy , he doesn’t work :o)

There seems to be this thing about marriage where the missus gets to dictate what you eat to keep you healthy.

Andy likes to do his bit. A very small bit. A self-serving bit.

It’s a great breakfast if Andy were going out to dig a canal or lay a railway first. Check out British navvies.

Fertilized eggs, turkey bacon, turkey sausage, and the toast was fried in olive oil. Does that now make a healthier parody of a British breakfast?

Why do women do this? You go out to eat so rarely that when you do it should be a no holds barred celebration. Hey JOE, gimmee THREE eggs.

What? Spread on his bread? Not fried up in the bacon drippings like the eggs?

“Sorry, Andy! We already used up the low-calorie spread to ‘color’ the first panel!”

Add fried tomatoes and blood pudding and he’ll have a real breakfast.

Before lockdown, I used to pop into a little cafe right next to the bingo hall and had a small cooked breakfast. It consisted of 4 food items which were sausages, fried eggs, beans and fries. That was enough for me.

    @Afficionado

Dear God. That sounds terrible. Poor guy.

I always used to think Lego was for boys. So sadly, I never had it. I don’t think my parents would have been happy if I left pieces of it everywhere anyway. Kids don’t always tidy up after themselves and I was probably exactly the same.

I found a video last night of my Mystery Cruise when it docked in Poland. I was on board at the time of filming but you can’t see me. I was lurking somewhere on that beautiful vessel though.

Turn your volume down, the horn goes off.

Take care and enjoy your favourite “nosh” pal, I assume that’s what you’ll be having.

Plain cooked and seasoned dry beans are actually quite healthy and full of protein. :-)

What, no pancakes? Incidentally, having beans for breakfast may seem weird, but it sounds pretty good to me. Beans are a good source of protein, after all.

Variation on the old joke about the woman who orders an all-out ice cream sundae: three scoops, multiple toppings, whipped cream, nuts. When the waiter asks if she wants a cherry on top, she replies, “Of course not! I’m on a diet!”

My only experience with fried bread (not French Toast) is Egg in a Basket, which my wife likes. I’ll make it for her, but it doesn’t appeal to me.
