That is because the movie distributors haven’t left enough margin for the theatres to make a profit. The have no other way of making enough revenue.

Right now, they are even in a harder place, being shut over COVID. An independent theatre in the region is offering drive-up, take-out snacks!

Snacks are cheap at my movie theater: chez moi. They let you lay on the couch in your sweats and drink beer too. Also they stop the movie for you so you don’t miss anything when you go to the loo.

They forgot something even MORE expensive: The movie ITSELF at the theater,….

She hasn’t calculated the price on Printer Ink when you buy cartridges from the Manufacturer.

It works out to somewhere North of $900 per Gallon, depending on Which manufacturer.
