Umpire would not allow mound visit without coach wearing a hat; not all players and coaches properly equipped. Plus, what coach DOESN’T wear a hat? Only in Milford!
The power of Thorp amazes me. More so than aged sloppy joes. No pre season practice, opening game with a team not named Tates Creek, arrive to the game late and make coaching changes. Isn’t no wonder Marty likes something extra in his sippy cup?
Well there’s a lot more to nitpick at if you see the colorized version!
P1 – Sorry guys, I should have checked the field before the game. Apparently somebody whizzed all over home plate. The gross yellow stained dish is freaking out Tom, and he’s losing his grand slam for missing the plate.
P2 – Why is Gil not wearing a uniform? He’s freaking wearing khakis in fact! He must have came directly from the Jim Harbaugh Fantasy Camp. And why is the catcher wearing a Darth Vader mask?
P3 – Gil’s going with who I assume is a rookie, a sophomore, for his setup man? As the catcher would say, “I got a bad feeling about this!”
And speaking of bad feelings, I’ve got a bad feeling about anyone who doesn’t read Mopped Up Thorp every day!

Keri Regional Final – Del Bader vs. Uncle Gary: Del Bader continues steamrolling the competition, and Uncle Gary was only slightly more competitive than past challengers. Hit and run, hit and run, Del does what he does best. Uncle Gary was researching potential auditoriums for his nephew to sing at during halftime.

Fang Regional Final – Softball Moms vs. Knox Foley: 1990 Loyola Marymount? 1986 LSU? 2006 George Mason? They’ve got nothing on the Softball Moms. Has a seed this low ever made such an impressive run? The constant judgmental looks and finger wagging totally threw Knox Foley off his game. The Moms went into the half up by 9 and coasted the rest of the way into the Final Four.
