I couldn’t sleep, thinking about the mysterious Lady-facial-place my wife goes to, the 50-year-old Tex-Mex cafe down on the corner, the barber shops—-all closing, maybe forever. Corporations, meanwhile, get half a trillion dollars with no strings, as long as the wealthy execs kiss the Don’s ass most smoochily.
We will survive, perhaps even older folks like me that want to do things and go places. We must not give up, even though I often get sarcastic about it. Maybe, juuust maybe, there will be enough survivors to take FDR’s second bill of rights to heart and make it reality.
