Not true, Robert, McConnell and other republicans only want to “stimulate” big companies (including Trump’s) while Democrats want a more equitable solution.

This assumes that McConnell is holding a water hose, but what if he’s holding a fuel hose to “quench” those flames?

The Republican bills contain large amounts of cash for large corporations with no strings attached. Mnuchin will be able to hand money out without scrutiny or having to say where it went.

The Dem bills included money to assist airlines, but it includes a mandate that they spend more on reducing their carbon footprint by researching better fuels and other measures.

There are a few Dems trying to include the student loan debt forgiveness or other measures that should be addressed at another time. There should be provisions to protect people that cannot make payments on ANY type of loan at this time.

Any taxpayer funding should be going to PEOPLE that can’t work because of the virus and their company doesn’t give them sick pay. The Repub tax cut of 2017 was supposed to “trickle down” but companies have used the extra money to buy back stock and automate. This is even what CEOs said they would do before the tax cut was finalized, but the Repubs passed it anyway. Trump touted AT&T bonuses that had already been planned, but ignores that AT&T cut 28,000 then and has recently cut thousands more. Many of these jobs are being moved to other countries, and the U.S. people being let go have to train their foreign replacements.

Classic Republican argument. Create a bill that gives billions to large corporations with no strings attached, include riders that have nothing to do with COVID-19 relief like defunding Planned Parenthood; know it’s dead on arrival at the House so they can blame the Democrats. It’s classic McConnell tactic in a re-election year.

Exactly as it should be. We don’t need another corporate welfare program that screws the people. Been there done that… Consumers are 77% of the economy. They make the difference. That is where any funding should start.

The airlines spent 96% of their profits for the last ten years on stock buy back and executive bonuses. They failed to plan for the future. We don’t need to reward bad business decisions.

Well, I guess the memo got to most everybody, so far this is the third cartoon like this I’ve seen from right wing cartoonists. I can see the memo now: “Alright guys here’s what we’re gonna go for today. Draw the Covid-19 virus as a fire, have the republican (or tRump) as the fireman and have the Democrats blocking the hose. Now, go draw it guys.”

If you give the money to the corporations … that is where it will stay… all while they continue to lay people off and build up their reserves… If you give it to the people they will spend that money therefore stimulating the economy and providing relief to those that need it. hmmmm tough choice.

Just keeping the turtle from pouring more gasoline on the middle and “working class”, while reserving champaign in the bill for the top 1% and corporate sponges. Oh, yes, and eliminating public health providers who care for medicare and folks who can’t afford doctors or insurance.

This cartoon is a load of crap. The Republican bill doesn’t do what it needs to: it pours money into the pockets of rich people, gives poor people a small one-time payment that will come out of their tax rebates later, and does squat for healthcare needs.

Pelosi’s plan is far, far better, and, frankly, will do WAY more for the economy than the Republican “just let the old (poor) folks die” plan.

Still the RNC meme of the day. The fact is the Dems aren’t allowing Moscow Mitch to pass a $500B Slush fund for the Trump family to use to bail out their properties and as campaign bribes to corporation in return for support this November. The stimulus bill needs to go to the American People, which I guess to the RNC is a “special interest”.

During the financial crisis of 2008, Republicans bailed out the big banks and hung homeowners out to dry. They have a habit of throwing money at corporations while ignoring ordinary citizens.

It is NOT a stimulus bill the way it’s written today; it’s just another boondoggle to big corporations with the added Slush Fund for the orange treason-weasel to steal from the taxpayers.

The republican party has always been the party of the “haves” and large corporations. This will never change. The “never Hillary” voters have unleashed the most corrupt and dishonest group of politicians in the history of our nation. The book TRUMP REVEALED described the folly of the man. Read it now if you dare.

OMFG, Seriously, let’s be clear here, this is what the Republican party have come to: ‘let’s genocide the elderly’ to save the wealthy? Is this the government of the United States or North Korea? If this was any previous Administration would we not be outraged, immediately send troops & remove this (I don’t’ have the words to describe this POS).

Tell you what, #YOUFIRST! To every trump supporter that is old enough to be a grandparent (& lets face it in states that are trump’s base that age could be what 32?), the diehard #MAGA supporters, & willing to show us Liberals just what you are made of, your resolve, your diehard support & willing to die for your beloved orange messiah, I think you should all show us the way!

But you should all do it fast, show us up. You should all gather in your local town square, save yourself a lot of suffering, make a huge batch of Kool-Aid with cyanide & drink it. THAT WILL SHOW US!! We will properly bury you ALL as martyrs, we will properly mourn you all as martyrs, God Damn IT we will even do a 45 gun salute!! But you got to show us the way!! YOU FIRST! Then we will follow! #magaShowUsTheWay #magaMartyrs
