Many Thanks to Kevin Thorn for the origins of today’s comic strip. We were on the phone for a completely different project, and went RIGHT off the rails talking about this. I guess I should also thank the &^%$#@ scammer who’d been emailing me and using up my time pretending to need a caricature drawn, but I’m not thanking him for a dang thing.
Live it up, ya mercenary little so-and-so. In fewer than twenty years you’ll be at the same level of technical savvy as everyone around you. Only thing is, you’ll have no marketable skills.
My grandkids are whizzes at computer games but when it comes down to doing anything useful on a computer it is a good thing they have grandma to teach them.
My facebook feed is littered with ads for impossibly cheap computers and components like $99 for nvidia 2070 equipped gaming computer or the $27 intel 9900K cpu. Report them to the FTC and nothing happens.

“For another twenty, I’ll turn me in.”
Ah, reminds me of the good ol’ days. I zanged a few zingers in my mouthy teenager days.

Just how old is this guy? I’m over 60 and have been dealing with emails and that crazy computer stuff for more than two decades.

I have to admit Gmail has a pretty good spam filter
I check and clear the spam folder daily and very rarely find anything in there that is not spam, and rarely find spam in the main inbox

I do the same kind of things to my parents to make them understand “LEARN TO DO IT YOURSELF, IT’S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!”

I’m glad I don’t have this problem, I don’t have an 8 year old around to solve my problems.
