Wait, what? Are there really two people that think the seasons change like turning a page of the calendar? Certainly nobody living in MN, WI or MI.

The day after the last day you need gloves you don’t yet know if it was the last day unless it’s also the first day without.

    Spring isn’t a day.

I’m kind of surprised that wasn’t Caulfield’s response.

Sounds to me like the same day Jane. Also sounds like something Caulfield would say to get Mrs. Olsen going around in circles.

“seasons” are a marketing gimmick to sell you clothes for a “season” not currently happening!

New York spring consists of alternating days of winter and summer.

    Spring isn’t a day, it’s a season. I don’t get today’s strip.

One year in Minneapolis at college. 19 consecutive days where high temp was zero or below! Spring sprung about 2 July! OK, I exaggerate about Spring, but not about the temps.

    Jef Mallett’s Blog Posts.

Frazz15 hrs · US Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart famously said of pornography, “I know it when I see it.” Spring, for all its seasonal and astronomical and climatological & baseballogical and equinoxical definitions, is really defined as just about the same way. You know it when you see it.

When winter is over is another matter. You know that when you see it, too, but you see it in more or less distant hindsight.

Either way, if you’re a dog walker and you carry your plastic bags by the roll, there’s something very spring like about realizing you’re done having to take off your gloves and freeze your fingers getting the baggie open. It’s not Nature’s First Green is Gold, but it’s something.
