    When he said that he knows more than all the generals, we didn’t realize that he included the Surgeon General in that count.

    Ruled by a Fool – {4 beats/line}

    I search-lined “Bible Proverbs Fool”, -

    - and found some verses which surely you’ll

    associate with our nation’s misrule

    by a dolt whose wisdom’s quite miniscule.

    … Example:

    {Proverbs 18:2} – “A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinon.” { from a long list at: https://www.openbible.info/topics/fool }

    . . . . . . . . . . . . .

    Orwell wrote that ignorance is strength. One wonders if it is also, now, fatal. I am afraid we’re in for a demonstration while the Chosen One finds out his “hunch” may be erroneous.

    It is sad to watch a person so desperate for attention/affection yet trying all the wrong things. The wisest, most likable people that I know often say “I don’t know.” when they don’t know enough to give a meaningful/useful answer.

    And guess where The Velveeta Voldemort is this weekend, even though he’s “Too Busy” for his annual physical, and “Too Busy” to deal with the virus crisis? Hint: It rhymes with “Dolf Horse”!

    And, of course, he doesn’t want any of the people trapped on the cruise ship off the Cali. Coast to be allowed off the ship because it would affect “The Numbers”!!

    SERIOUSLY, that $$hole is MORE WORRIED ABOUT HIS F#%ING NUMBERS THEN PEOPLE’S LIVES!!!!

    Kernels of Missing Knowledge from the stable genius. “World War I started in the Balkan countries, not the Baltic countries like I said yesterday. A lot of people don’t known that.”“Most people don’t even know Lincoln was a Republican"“The United States is a sovereign nation —a lot of people don’t know that”Puerto Rico residents are U.S. citizens—a lot of people don’t know that"“George Washington appointed the most Supreme Court justices – most people don’t know that”“COVID-19 is a virus —a lot of people don’t know that”

    How many hookers does it take to screw in a dim bulb? Trump tried, but some dim bulbs lack the filament for enlightenment.

    Be sure to tell your conservative friends about the ads you’ve seen Bloomberg running recruiting asymptomatic Covid-19 carriers to attend Trump rallies. Honest. It’s real, heard about it from my Canadian girlfriend.

    Interesting cartoon, but I have a much more serious list of questions, which I haven’t yet seen addressed by the media, CDC, etc.

    1) How long does an infection last? I.e., how long from either initial infection or first appearance of symptoms until either the virus is confirmed absent or it is no longer possible to infect someone else? Such figures should include both “most common” and maximum times.

    2) Are individuals who have recovered from covid-19 immune — at least for a time (days? weeks? longer?), — so that they could safely care for infected individuals? I’ve seen it reported that at least a few individuals have suffered second infections, but I don’t know if that’s something to be expected upon re-exposure, or even if the original conclusion that they were free of the virus could have been faulty.

    3) Is there a test — either existing or at least capable of being developed — that can identify persons who have had the disease, even if they were not so diagnosed while they had it? It seems reasonable that there are individuals — perhaps many — who have suffered mild symptoms but not been diagnosed as having covid-19 at the time. Trump’s “estimated” numbers, however, are pure fantasy, with no basis in actual data. If such a test existed, it could make it possible to measure the true seriousness — e.g., what actual fraction of those infected die — of the disease. (Of course, that would require actually administering such a test to large numbers of individuals potentially exposed.)
