Elian Gonzalez was the victim of a custodial kidnapping. He was happy to get back home and take up his education again, and recently earned a degree in industrial engineering, presumably without any student debt.
Let’s attack anyone who opposes Trump. Bok knows what any Independent/Democrat did at any time in the past; just as he refuses to know what Trump has done at any time in the past, like refusing to rent to black people, walking into a dressing room full of undressed teenage girls, groping women and other immoral/amoral activities. Can we say SQUIRREL?
Actually, I think Bernie has gone about this completely wrong. To make Castro and communism look relatively good he should be comparing it to the dictatorship that existed before he seized power. Led by a U.S. supported dictator named Batista. Really, not all that different than Castro. The one contrast is it was a far right dictatorship that completely benefited the rich and the United States. Personally, I wouldn’t be defending Castro. But it was really not much different in terms of human rights than what came before.
So for a whattabout, Trump’s praise for Putin, Xi, Kim, Erdogan and Duterte are to be given a pass because they’re all such excellent leaders, but Sanders’ remark that Castro did do something good for his nation is not?
As I read it, it’s more an indictment of our refusal to fund education and health care. There they have a poor country with all sorts of economic sanctions weighing them down, and yet they manage to educate their children so that they have a much greater literacy rate than we do and a healthier population. But we, rich as can be, can’t manage to do it. THAT is what Bernie was saying.

See? This is where Donald got his inspiration to start kidnapping children from their parents.

Well, it is much easier to provide free education if no one is allowed to use it.
