So…Nobody held the string and the kite drifted away? And now Rover’s holding the string for the launch of a second (different color) kite?

Red must have used a much larger engine than specified if the rocket took a kite that high.

I got a kite so far up in the sky once. My Mom called me for dinner and I had leave my kite in the air.

If at first you don’t succeed; try, try again—-and have fun while you’re doing it!

That might work, if the rocket was heavy enough. No, that would never work. Would it?

Outstanding! Ah, Estes Rockets. We incorporated cox airplanes and G.I. Joes. In the end, absolutely nothing was left. Boy did we get in trouble.

It’s a bit confusing, but I’m so glad they are having a fun Sunday! Take care, my little darlings!

In 70s , sent in Green Giant labels to get a cool, free kite every year. One year you got Little Sprout on a parachute, you sent up on the string of flying kite. You yanked string and Little Sprout would parachute down. Sent Sprout up over and over

My mom had a home on the beach. The number of kids and adults I had to teach how to fly a kite and why it wouldn’t fly under certain conditions was stunningly huge.
