“Show me the money.”

Money is speech, the Supremes tell us. Enough speech, widely enough spread, often enough seems to be sufficient to swing elections. QED, money can be used to buy an election, at least within very broad limits (the current Resident is proof that the limits are broad in at least one direction) on who is the beneficiary of that money. Add that to an obscenely wealthy person with delusions of grandeur and it seems apparent that it’s possible to buy the presidency.

I’m not at all sure what we can do about that. The only thing I can come up with would be some sort of requirement on people to spend only other people’s money on their election. Which is beyond odd.

So far Bloomberg has the best ads. He is openly attacking Trump and using heath care as the issue. I think it’s smart of the Democrats to use rising health care costs as an issue. Even Trump supporters are not immune to the sting in the wallet when they visit the doctors.

The Republicans are relying on what worked for them in 2016, “The Mexicans are coming to rape you.” Ignorance, fear, hate will Make America Great Again.

The R’s are running on a “law and order” ticket, criticizing their opponents for letting “hardened criminals,” people’s who only crime is overstaying their visa, back on our streets. Yesterday Trump pardoned a long list of felons. There’s no hypocrisy here folks – move along – nothing to see here.

All the candidates for President, including Trump, offer money for votes. How does Jeff think Trump won last time? Honesty and fair play? Ha, ha ha ha….You can’t be that naive, can you, Jeff?

One has to be pretty naive to think money… does not buy elections. Whether it is done by spending on adds or engaging foreign governments.. offering $$$$ in tax cuts or free education.. money.. is purchasing your vote.

I’m more intrigued with Sam Elliott’s dance-off in the latest Doritos ad.

MONEY HAS ALWAYS BOUGHT THE POLITICAL OFFICE.

I’ve never seen a Bloomberg ad, mostly because I don’t watch much TV other than what as been recorded on TIVO, and I skip the ads. But I hope he does well because he seems very intelligent, and the contrast to our Resident is striking.

It wasn’t the Current Resident’s Spending that got him the White House.

It was all the FREE Coverage the News media gave him every time he Farted in public.
