They just want a Democratic challenger that they think Trump can beat and they can ridicule.

Bernie polls very high among millennials and younger, and among the “very liberal”. If those two groups go to the polls in sufficient numbers (and most liberals vote for him because BLUE NO MATTER WHO !) he’ll win. Period. Despite what the folks who cannot conceive of ever voting for anybody left of Mussolini think will happen.

So they say the Democrats were wrong to nominate an insider like Hillary instead of an outsider like Sanders in 2016. Yet the same “they” is telling us all over the place that the Democrats would be wrong to nominate an outsider like Sanders in 2020.

Does anyone else find that more than a bit curious?

    We can be together

    Ah, you and me

    We should be together

We are all outlaws in the eyes of RedAmerica

In order to survive we give-feel-care-rant-post and march

    We are shameless-social-critical-outraged-dangerous-old and young

    But we should be together

Come on all you people standing around!

Our world’s too fine to let it die

    We can be together

All your insecurities are targets for your enemy

    And your enemy

    Is hate

We are forces of change and rationality

Everything they say we are, we are

    And we are very

    Proud of ourselves

    Up against the wall

    Up against the wall

    Tear down the walls

    Tear down the walls

We must begin here and now

A new dawn of truth and justice

    Tear down the walls

    Tear down the walls

    Won’t you try?

Bernie is the only one who is loud and irrational enough to take on trump.. but can he go the distance given his age and health.

All of the news media is trumpeting the “fact” that Bernie won the first two primaries.

However, when I look at the delegate count, it’s clear that Mayor Pete is leading by 1.

Doesn’t that mean that Mayor Pete is winning after the first two primaries?!

Bernie buddies made Trump president. In 2016 Trump winning turned on small victories in three states. In Michigan Trump won by 10,704 votes; 48,000 Bernie primary voters voted for Trump in the general election. Trump won Pennsylvania by 44,292 votes; 117,000 Sanders primary voters went for Trump. In Wisconsin Trump won by 22,748, due to 51,300 Sanders voters choosing Trump in November. 2020 polls find over half of Bernie voters will refuse to vote for any other Democrat in the general election – fivefold more than supporters of every other candidate. Unless this changes, Sanders supporters will once again wind up putting Trump in the White House. [7 February 2019, New York Times, p.A29]

I am supremely confident the Democratic-ish National Committee will screw this election up – just like last time.

You know what, Dems initially thought the same thing about Trump – unelectable. and we know how that worked out.

Ok Breen, you are wrong, and you know it.

Bernie supporters refused to vote for Hillary, and that’s how Trump got in. This we know.

Are you really saying that the anti-Bernie Democrats are just as stubborn? Will they throw out their vote out of spite because they hate Bernie like the “Bernie Bros” hated Hillary? Or are your brand of Democrat more pragmatic, and willing to vote for whoever runs as a democrat, just to make sure Trump doesn’t win again.

Because I can tell you, the die-hard Bernie supporters will once again abstain from voting if Bernie isn’t the candidate, and we will get the same result as this time. I get the feeling that the “centralist” Democrat motto is “we failed last election, so lets double down and make the same mistakes with even more conviction. That’s sure to work”

Maybe if there was less HATE coming from the Democratic “moderates”, they’d have a more convincing “party unity” line. Look at the comments on this page – it’s throwing out the “deplorables” line all over again, and we know how well that worked out.

If Bernie wins the nomination, Trump won’t debate him. He knows Bernie will chew him up and spit him out in pieces smaller than his hands.

Altho I’m a Warren supporter, Bernie should do just fine, now that he doesn’t have Super-Hilary to split the primary vote.

I expect Candidate Sanders to be doing quite well in actual delegate counts the day before Super Tuesday hits.

I’m more concerned with who his running mate would be…

The Repubs gave up on moderation and centrism, as Mitt Romney just illustrated (in isolation, at that). Dems won’t win by anxiously hanging onto centrism, either.

Bernie’s choice of running mate will tell us a lot about how the general election will pan out….
