    Cactus do flower, but with Bloom’s proboscis it was inevitable. I see where you can sometimes use duct tape to pull them out. But sometimes they have to be cut out.

    Many many years ago, I was around 12 and was at a botanical garden in Arizona. It was like a winding boardwalk through a bunch of native plants. There was a rambunctious child of 3 or 4, acting like a brat, running around, causing mayhem, etc. I came around the corner, and here’s the dad, sitting on a bench, with the kid over his knee, pulling cactus quills out of his butt! Maybe he should have been put across his knee sooner!
