There was a school of thought to censure the president in the House and keep the investigations going while the courts deliberate on the issues of Hair Groppenfuror’s taxes, executive privilege, etc. Probably could have kept it going till the 2020 election, impeach the president a week before, i.e. pull a Comey.

Not really! It was the illegal roadblocks placed by the senate. Senators are supposed to work for the country. However, they have blocked all roads so that the emperor with no clothes can safely pass through.

I don’t think it was the speed. It was the facts. And the facts show there is no impeachable offense.

According to Senator Alexander Trump call was not perfect and shooting someone on Fifth Avenue would be inappropriate but not impeachable.

First the complaint was the House was taking too long. Now the complaint is the Senate is not taking long enough. Silly Ramirez. Can’t make up his mind.

This whole process started before the 16 election. Trump acted in a impeachable way almost every day offending the left became a goal of his. Yet with all of Trumps bad behavior Democrats go all in on a phone call. Well it worked back in the bad old days when FDR set his cross dressing attack poodle loose on Al Capone, a hundred murders waves of crime and Capone get’s sent up on Tax Evasion. Trump can only be broken now by ignoring him dismissing him as irrelevant. The likes of Pelosi, Schiff & Nadler hating on him makes Trump stronger and his minions rabid. Run a Candidate that beats Trump like a drum in a landslide. This impeachment show has only helped Trump with no chance of removing him from office or driving him out in disgrace. He just may win again and get a Third SCOTUS appointment and lasting impact all over a overreach by the left pushing to hard .

Some in the senate (and the White House) wanted summary dismisal. Now, that’s speed for you. Failing that, an “Alice through the Looking Glass” trial—"verdict first, evidence later".

I’d have to agree: Pelosi lost control of “her” caucus and allowed them to rush to… hmm. “Judgment” isn’t the right word here.

It’s true; Nancy rushed to impeachment by making the process drag on and on and on.

Seriously? Telegraphing intent to impeach an hour after the inauguration was a bit much to accept. And then talking about intent to impeach for three (3) solid years burned off any rationale beyond an absolute desire to accomplish the task. Next time, wait for a reason.

Sorry guys but it is true. This was a truly rushed and fumbled attempt at an impeachment with little true cause and evidence and HORRIBLE implementation.

More like the Republican Senate oiled the track on the curves and placed nails on the straightaway. Marco Rubio admitted it was an impeachable offense and Lamar Alexander stated he believed the House Managers proved the case without a doubt. For some reason, neither thinks they will vote to remove him. After all Dear Leader is held to different standards than the Constitution.

Rushed or not, the Senate would never have voted to convict.
