At least, it’s a sporting cut with the bendy bits covered with hair to protect against the cold. And, yes, standard sized poodles are hunting dogs.

People who have their regular dogs sheered in the spring and summer really annoy me. The coat offers protection from the sun and mosquitoes, and, since dogs don’t sweat from their pores, it does nothing to keep them cooler.
