    There are, occasionally, comics I keep coming back to for a second look. This one is one such.

    Aside from the dark humor, which is brilliant, I think what strikes me the most is the background color. I would love to have seen this one in an actual, real-life, honest to goodness newspaper, to see it smack dab in the middle of all the jolly, merry, gay Christmas and holiday comics. It is such a powerful contrast to everything else this season. Which, of course, was its purpose.
