Apparently, Zelensky speaks excellent English, so release of the tape of the July 25 call (and any other calls ) would be easily understood by US citizens. If Trump and Co. are so innocent, there should be no problem with taking those calls from their high security server and releasing them to the public. I had somebody tell me yesterday – with a straight face – that trump was being impeached because the Democrats were angry that he had “won” the election. I pointed out that he LOST the election by 3 million votes, and he is being impeached because he has done things that are illegal. I don’t think she believed me.

Patjade has it correct. The contrast between what FOX “news” is reporting on the hearings and what the entire rest of the world is reporting is amazing. FOX is supporting the Repub’s smearing of witnesses to discredit their testimony while other news sources focus on the testimony itself.

I’ve lived through 13 presidents. I cannot recall any aside from Nixon who have been so obviously a traitor to his country and so in favour of himself. He manages to mix incompetence with criminality. BTW, I still believe Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld belong before the World Court for war crimes.

The real fun will happen in the Senate. The blocked witnesses and questions will roll out during the start of the primary balloting. Will Schiff ignore the subpoena? Will the Whistleblower take the 5th?
