    Whistleblower?

In Watergate, the whistleblower was nicknamed “Deep Throat.”

For Ukraine-gate? Best Internet suggestion … how about “Orange Crush”?

These things happen when you take on the Intelligence Community.

They know where all the dirt against Trump is.

We are living in interesting times … Although probably, most of us would rather have a little more boringness rather than so much interestingness… we’d all probably sleep better at night if we were sure we would wake up to still having a world to wake up in.

I must say I’m getting a certain grim satisfaction from the steady drumbeat for impeachment.

Mike Morell, CBS commentator and former CIA deputy director, said that the whistleblower’s written complaint was organized in such a style that Mr. Morell was convinced he/she was part of the intelligence community; a credible document, written by someone who knows what they’re talking about.

    Pedant alert!

    That’s not a whistle; it’s a fife.

A whistle has a mouthpiece (technically called a “fipple”) that directs the airstream onto an “edge” to make a sound. The fife requires the player’s mouth and lips to form an embochure (shape) to create the same effect.

I really think s/he should reveal their identity. Once that is done, I wouldn’t be so worried about something happening to them. I have absolutely no doubt that Trump knows who it is. And, he has tweeted that they used to handle spies differently in the old days. I don’t have a lot of faith that he can differentiate between a threat to America and a threat to Trump.

Maybe whistle-blowing just needs to be re-branded as fife-blowing. That might help the ignorant masses to finally realize the patriotism inherent within the act.
